What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR Therapy is based on the concept that the brain is able to heal from traumatic stress through adaptive information processing. EMDR is an approach to psychotherapy that has continued to offer countless individuals the opportunity to achieve therapeutic goals and incorporate the tools they need for leading more peaceful and joyful lives. When one experiences events under traumatic stress or repeated disturbing circumstances, their information processing system can break down resulting in pathology. EMDR helps jumpstart adaptive information processing assisting the client's ability to resolve the experience, heal, learn and grow.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
